Meet Mariana

At Desert Arc we thrive on creating opportunities for our clients. The following is a letter written by Mariana V. a highly valued member of the Desert Arc staff.

Hello,

My name is Mariana. I have been with Desert Arc for 11 years now. When I started working at Desert Arc I was only 18 years old. At first I was scared of working here, but then when I tried different departments and started making new friends I knew that I wasn’t going be scared anymore. I went to work in different departments to see which one I liked. I knew I liked Contracts the most. In the Contracts department I used to work on bulk mailing for the post office, answer the phone and I also worked with the collating machine that used to do the Inland Regional Center newsletters. After 4 years in Contracts I moved up to the front desk and became a Desert Arc Receptionist. My jobs duties include answering phone calls, greeting customers and guests and assisting different departments with clerical work. In March 2011, I received an Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2nd Annual Desert Arc Golf Classic awards ceremony. Now I have taken the additional responsibilities of being the Client Council Secretary and Editor of the client newsletter. This will be a new learning experience for me. I have learned a lot through the years that I been working here at Desert Arc and I want to thank the staff for helping me and teaching me what I have learned.
